The founding rate is fixed on the day you subscribe. Subscribe through 11:59 pm Eastern, October 30, 2026, even in the middle of your free days, and your first year is $99 when the first charge comes after they end. A trial started before 11:59 pm Eastern, October 30, 2026 but subscribed after it pays $149 a year.
What's Included
Briefings, cruise plans, float plans and saved locations are unlimited, so use them as much as you like. The Virtual First Mate answers up to 10 questions a day, and the count resets overnight.
When the Trial Ends
When your trial ends, your boat, limits and saved places are kept, ready the moment you subscribe. Briefings, planning and alerts pause until then, and check-in reminders for a float plan you already sent keep going. Subscribe any time, during your free days or after. If you subscribe during them, your first charge comes the day they end.
Refunds and Canceling
Your first charge is not refundable, so use the free days to decide. If a later renewal charge takes you by surprise, write within 14 days and we will refund it. Cancel anytime in Settings; your access runs to the end of the period you paid for.
Where It Works
US waters: the Atlantic, Gulf and Pacific coasts and the bays, sounds and rivers behind them, the Great Lakes, inland lakes, Hawaii, Alaska, Puerto Rico and the USVI. Your limits apply the same way everywhere. What we can read varies by water, and the briefing says so. Every coast and the Great Lakes get buoys and the Weather Service's marine forecast. Salt water gets NOAA tides, and most of it tidal currents. Inland lakes get the wind and weather forecast only, with no buoy and no marine forecast behind them. Local hazard notes, like crab pots, shoals and bars, are most detailed on the Chesapeake and Delaware Bay.
